That’s what we’d all say to this godsend of a service called Afterpay if we could.
Afterpay, founded in 2014, didn’t make its way to the US until 2018. So, for nearly twenty years, online shoppers in the US didn’t have a way to split up or postpone their payments. (How did we ever manage?) Enter Afterpay.
How does it work?
Simply put, Afterpay is a “buy now, pay later” service that is totally free for you, the customer. You can buy the scrubs you want today by paying only a fourth of the total price of your order, and simply agree to pay the balance of your order total in three equal installments over eight weeks. There’s no interest or added fees. And, most importantly, there’s no catch.
Unlike med school, it’s easy! Here’s how it goes down if you want to use this seemingly too-good-to-be-true service when you buy scrubs on our website: Shop and add what you want to your cart. When you’re ready to checkout, choose the Installments by Afterpay payment option. Assuming you’ve never used Afterpay before (otherwise, why the hell are you reading this?), you’ll just need to provide payment details, the same as you would if you were paying by credit card the normal way. (Returning Afterpay users can simply log in to make their purchases.)
After you check out, we’ll ship your Afterpay scrubs order out as usual! At any time, you can log into your account at afterpay.com to see your payment schedule and, if you want, you can make a payment before the due date. Otherwise, Afterpay will automatically take the money from your debit or credit card on your payment due dates.
A couple of things to note about Afterpay, otherwise you might think it sounds just a bit too perfect. They don’t approve 100% of orders because they are responsible and won’t let you make bad spending decisions. When determining which orders they’re going to approve, Afterpay looks at several things.
